About Us

UK Garden Buildings manufacture quality garden buildings including sheds, summerhouses and playhouses. In 2012 we are launching our new range of luxury garden rooms / garden offices designed to suit all age ranges and needs from playrooms to relaxing reading rooms.

The company was founded in 1996; its aim to manufacture fit and sell quality garden buildings at an affordable price whilst not compromising its service and choice.

We sell our buildings through a range of independent garden centres and building suppliers, as well as operating two show sites of our own in Burton on Trent and Chester.

We have a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of garden buildings. We manufacture to order enabling the customer the choice of options and specifications.

UK Garden Buildings aims to be as environmentally friendly as possible, recognising a duty to our customers, staff and suppliers to purchase forest products from responsible and well-managed sources. We have an active policy of only buying FSC/PEFC softwoods.

Wherever possible we reduce our carbon footprint by planning and optimising routes and carrying the most efficient payload for our vehicles.

We try where possible, to support UK Timber producers and UK joinery manufacturers.

Your order is very important to us and as such we train our fitting crews to the highest standard. When a delivery date is allocated you will be contacted by phone by our dedicated customer service team, who will:

  • Ask about the base to ensure it is flat and level (ideally concrete or slabs). Please allow enough room once the building is erected for you to re-treat the building, and that there is enough room for the overhang of the roof on the building.

  • Ensure you have considered any height restriction to allow the sections to be easily carried through. Most buildings require an 8’ (2.43m) clearance and will not go through standard doorways, under arches or through gates with tops on. Tight corners may also be a problem. Under no circumstances will buildings be carried over garage roofs, fences, hedges and walls. Please contact us if you need the building to be manufactured in smaller sections for awkward access.

  • You do not need to be present when the building is being fitted but the building MUST be paid for and access clear.

  • If on arrival the base is deemed to be unfit or access cannot be gained due to a restriction and the installation is abandoned the building will be left on site for ‘self-assembly’ or when an appropriate base is ready we will erect the building for a fee of 12.5% of the total retail price or a minimum of £40.00. If we have to manufacture the building again in smaller sections charges will also be added.

Our buildings if erected by our fitters carry a 12-month guarantee, but will need re-treating within the first 3 months to maintain this. We recommend a good quality treatment, available to purchase through us at a discounted price.

If the building has been ‘self-assembled’ only manufacturing errors will be covered by the guarantee and not fitting errors.

The guarantee DOES NOT cover wind damage, any faults arising from the base not being flat and level or any rippling and creasing to the felt that is caused by temperature fluctuations.
